Loss Recovery Calculator: Chasing in Numbers

Updated 8 October 2026 · 5 minute read

If you have lost money and want it back, start with the sum. Type what you had, what you lost and your stake, and see the gain you would need, the wins in a row it takes and the chance of running out first.

The choices are illustrations of how such rounds are commonly described, not any platform’s rules. Choose “My own numbers” and type the figures your own app states.

50% of rounds pay 2×, and a 2% fee comes off every stake. The game keeps 2.00% of every stake on average.

The tool plays out your plan: bet this stake each round until you are back to what you had, you cannot cover a stake, or the rounds run out.

+100.0%gain needed on the ₹5,000 left to get back to ₹10,000
11winning rounds in a row to win it all back at ₹500 a round (1 in 2,048)
22.5%chance you are back at ₹10,000 at some point in 100 rounds, stopping there
37.5%chance you are still short when the 100 rounds end
39.9%chance you run out of money first
₹10average cost of each round at ₹500

Losing ₹5,000 of ₹10,000 leaves ₹5,000, and getting back means gaining 100.0% on that; at ₹500 a round with these odds, each round costs about ₹10 on average. Over 100 rounds the chance you are back at some point is 22.5% and the chance you run out first is 39.9%; the game owes you no recovery, because every round has the same chances whatever came before.

Losing money is hard to sit with, and the wish to get it back is very common. This page puts that wish into numbers so you can decide with a clear head. The box above opens on an invented case: ₹10,000 had, ₹5,000 lost, a stake of ₹500 a round on an even-chance bet with a 2% fee, for 100 rounds. At the time of writing (8 October 2026) we could not read Shree Win’s rules, so type your own figures.

Words on this screen

WordPlain meaning
HadWhat you held before the losses began
LostHow much has gone
Gain neededThe increase on what is left that brings you to what you had
StakeWhat you put on each round
Back at some pointThe chance your money touches the old amount, and you stop there
Run out firstThe chance you cannot cover another stake before getting back

The road back steepens

A gain is counted on what you have left, and that is less than you had. So the gain needed grows faster than the loss. All four rows use ₹10,000, a ₹500 stake and 100 rounds.

LostLeftGain needed on what is leftWins in a rowBack within 100 roundsOut of money first
₹1,000₹9,000+11.1%374.4%7.9%
₹2,500₹7,500+33.3%651.3%17.3%
₹5,000₹5,000+100.0%1122.5%39.9%
₹7,500₹2,500+300.0%167.2%70.9%

Losing half means doubling what is left. Losing three quarters means making it four times as big. At ₹500 a round, winning back ₹5,000 in one unbroken run takes 11 wins, a chance of 1 in 2,048.

A bigger stake is faster, not kinder

It can feel as if a larger stake shortens the road. It shortens the road and leaves the odds where they were. Here is the half-gone case at five stakes:

StakeWins in a rowBack within 100 roundsOut firstAverage cost a round
₹10053under 0.1%under 0.1%₹2
₹250212.3%7.0%₹5
₹5001122.5%39.9%₹10
₹1,000638.8%60.3%₹20
₹2,500331.2%68.8%₹50

At ₹100 a round, over 99.9% of tries are still short when the rounds end, so nothing much has happened. At ₹2,500, three wins in a row would do it, but 68.8% of tries run out first. Every row pays the same price for each rupee staked, about 2% on average.

A longer chase

More rounds do not turn the tide. At ₹500 a round, the chance of being back at some point rises from 22.5% at 100 rounds to 33.1% at 200 and 37.4% at 500. The chance of running out first rises faster, from 39.9% to 55.8% and then 62.3%. Waiting for a better stretch means more rounds of the average cost too.

Nothing is owed

The tool says it itself: the game owes you no recovery, because every round has the same chances whatever came before. At the time of writing, the closing text on Shree Win’s home page says “Gambling can be addictive, please play rationally.” That is the page’s own sentence, and this is the moment it fits.

If you want to stop chasing

  1. Write down the total you have lost, as one real number.
  2. Close the page for a day. The numbers above will still be here.
  3. Choose an amount you could lose without it hurting, and keep to it.
  4. Tell one person you trust.

Tele-MANAS 14416 gives free, confidential mental-health support, open every hour. If the money went to a fake predictor or a payment link and not to rounds, the after-a-scam guide covers what to do next.

What it cannot tell you

The calculator counts one plan: the same stake every round. It does not know any Shree Win tile’s odds, and it gives no advice. For the cost of an hour at a stake, use the expected-loss calculator on the games page, and for the doubling plan, the martingale calculator. Money questions about deposits are in the help guide. Common questions

I put in ₹2,000 and have ₹800 left. What would getting back take?

A gain of 150.0% on the ₹800, because the ₹1,200 you lost is one and a half times what is left. At ₹100 a round on the tool’s even-chance example, that means 13 winning rounds in a row, a chance of 1 in 8,192. Over 100 rounds the chance of being back at some point is 15.0%, and the chance of running out first is 51.5%.

What is the difference between “a full run ends back” and “back at some point”?

The first column plays every round you chose, then asks whether you finish at or above the old amount: 9.7% after 100 rounds in the opening example. The second stops the moment you touch the old amount, so it counts every route that got there on the way: 22.5%. The gap is the share who were back for a moment and then played on.

The tool says the game owes me no recovery. What does that mean?

Every round has the same chances whatever came before it. A string of losses does not store up a win that is due, so a bigger stake on the next round is not a debt being repaid. In the tool’s example each round costs about 2% of the stake on average, which is ₹10 at ₹500.

Should I use a small stake so I run out less often?

You will run out more slowly, but the road also stays long. At ₹100 a round, 100 rounds leave over 99.9% of tries still short, and even 1,000 rounds give only 3.1% back at some point, 27.0% out and 69.9% still short. A small stake spreads the same sum over more time, and each of those rounds still costs about ₹2 on average.

I lost the money to a fake predictor, not to rounds. Is this the right page?

No. That is a fraud, and it needs different steps. Call your bank straight away to block the card or UPI ID you used, call 1930, the national cyber-fraud helpline, and report it at cybercrime.gov.in. Keep screenshots of the chat and the payment. Do not send anything more to “get it back”.

What if I have lost more than I can afford?

You are not the first, and talking helps. Tele-MANAS 14416 gives free, confidential mental-health support and is open every hour. Telling one person you trust, and closing the page for a day, are small steps that cost nothing. If rent, food or school fees are at risk, tell your family or a bank before you do anything else.
